Regulations

Special consignments and heavy loads in France are subject to prior authorization and to strict conditions. There are two types of authorizations:

Single authorization
Local scope permission

Categories Special consignments and heavy loads

There are three transport category :

Convoy features	First category	Second category	Third category
Length (m)	15 to 20	20 to 25	Beyond 25
Width (m)	2,55 to 3	3 to 4	Beyond 4
Total weight of all	Up to 48 tons	From 48 to 72 tons	Beyond 72 tons

Accompanying special consignments and heavy loads

Following the special consignments and heavy loads one or more vehicles will accompany the special convoy to secure transport and users. The support is formed by one or two vehicles protection and guide vehicle.

Liability of the carrier

The stowage of the goods of your special consignments and heavy loads are made by the client or his representative. It is therefore solely responsible (unless otherwise stated).
